I was just in Kermits this weekend for some coral dip and something to kill off my aptasia, and got wowed by the store...again! I haven't been in since they broke down their main display and put in all the plastic. Broke my heart that did. Well I went in (avoiding the heartache in the back) and went straight to the additives when me and Dave started talking. He takes me to the main and Great Googa Mooga! SPS heaven! If you haven't been in for a bit I recommend giving Kermits a visit. Dave should really charge admission for that spectical hes got in there! If someone could paint in corals its Dave. That tank is alive wth color and shape (and fish).
The simplest addition I noticed was a smorgusboard of Zoa's hes got in his frag tank to the Left of the enterance (to the back where the main is). All these pretty plugs of Zoa's for $25. I can't get paid soon enough.
All this has got me geared up for the meeting at Below Sea Level!

I agree...the store was awesome back when the display was full of SPS before...when the coral tanks were all to the right. Then it went through some sort of funk stage when I hated to go in, but now it is better than ever. I hope it stays the way it is now so I can look forward to going in and knowing I will find something spectacular.

He may want the funk...I don't.

no offense to George, but I don't think aquarium funk is what he had in mind.

You certainly are welcome but I know when I get some time off being at a fish store is about the last thing on my agenda.;)

This is a subject change, but do you move frags out to sell on a schedule or just as needed just dave?

As needed and when I get tired of looking at the ones in front.

Just Dave... I kinda know what you mean but only being in business 13 months now, I still like looking at what others are doing with their designs...
Are you coming to the meeting on Saturday??

I was the same way years ago. If you come by I can show you how to get a 1500.00+ utility bill and have a bloated payroll.

I am definately catching up on the utility bill. about 900.00 so far, which I am sure will rise when I get the new coral room completed.

Hey ive got 3,350 watts of just MH running not including all of the pc and vhos, and mine is not that bad.....

32 return pumps of various sizes,21 MHs,26 PCs,4 VHOs,27 SOs, 3 HVAC units,2 freezers, plus all the power heads,heaters,skimmer pumps,chillers,fans,overhead lights,outside lights,sign lights....etc.

The 1500+ is a improvement. With careless abandon it can be higher.

10+ years, four store expansions, numerous system expansions and the power usage adds up. I'm at my services limits. It has caused me to halt another system expansion. I'm rethinking some layouts due to power consumption and heat.
