Its not too hard to figure me out. Not to origional with my handle either.
Oh I forgot to ask at the meeting last. Any of you Jacksonites ever come across Southdown? I have heard of sightings in and around Nashvegas. Didn't know if it made its way twards yall though.
Workin on some DIY base rock.

Jacksonite, sodomite. Tomato, tomato. Potato, potato. Lets call the whole thing off.
(Ahh. What I wouldn't give for a little musical accompanyment on this post. )

Actually, this is my 3rd or 4th name I've had. I kept forgetting my passwords and logins so they ended up being lost somewhere in reefcentral. =)

I have hears rumors that K-mart and even the occasional Wal-Mart sometimes carry a play sand that is packaged by Old Castle which tests out as aragonite just like Southdown and the Old Castle namebrand bags. I haven't had time to check the local ones, but I did see the post on reefcentral. I'll see if I can locate it again.

Also not very original in name choice....

Just a heads up.... Emerald crabs do not eat red bubble algea.... they scour the rocks but don't touch the bubbles... am resorting to picking them off with a pair of needle nose pliers.... Joe talked to someone at Kermits and that is what they do also....
Any other suggestions.... am getting tired of having a wet arm....

Well Dawn, there isn't really anything else that you can do but remove them yourself. I didn't know that there was a Red bubble algae. Green yes, but red...thats a new one on me. Try putting the pieces with algae on it into another tank. A smaller one that you can quarentine them in and pick it off till its all gone. Might take a week or two.

Hey Dawn,

Hopefully this will give you some ideas. I haven't found anything that will specifically eat red bubble yet. It is an interesting read regardless.

Hey everybody!

For the next meeting, at Below Sea Level, since it is difficult to find, we will be happy to meet anyone and do a caravan. We could meet at one of the exits and you could follow us.

Anyone interested?
