First Pics with CoolPix 995

Here are the first 2 pics taken with the Nikon CoolPix 995 purchased today. The battery has finally charged, so I could take a few pics and try out what I have read. These are with the standard camera lens...going to purchase a macro lens tomorrow!

Any suggestions on what lens to buy???

Man nice photo quality!

How has your experience been with the camera thus far? I am looking at the 995 myself and am wondering what people think of the camera. Is it pretty easy to use?

I just purchased it last week...and have been playin around with it since. Auto mode is great...the manual settings take a bit to get used to, but are straight forward once you learn the Menus.

I was in a toss-up between the Canon G2 and the Nikon 995...I played with both of them at the store for about an hour (salesman was starting to wonder about me) :D - but found the Nikon was going to serve my needs well and I like the split design - expecially when tripod mounted and taking downward facing shots.

I have macro lenses on order...should be here in a few days. I'll post more images taken with and without the lenses once they arrive!
