Hi all you reefers,
I got a bubble tip anemone for my clwon and he took right to it as son as i put it in the display.
It's been 24 hours and now it's flat and green i can see the center also. The tentacles do not have any water in them.I was told by the LFS that they purge them self and take on new water is this true? Do i need to just wait it out and see or can i do some thing to make better?

PLEASE HELP

It is not unusuall for anemones to remain deflated for a day or two after shipping. However, it is impossible to tell if it is just recovering from the transfer or has a problem untill it is too late. If it remains deflated longer than 2 days than usually it has something wrong with it IME.

Also lighting, water parameters, and water movement that are not to it's liking can cause it to be unhappy and remain deflated for prolonged periods. Tell us about your set up and I'm sure we can help determine if there are any parameters that might be a problem.
