Hi to you as well.....

Any fish which does not fit into the betta's mouth is safe.
These marine comets or bettas are extremely shy and reclusive. I've had one for 4yrs and he only comes out to feed. Gorgeous fish, just flat out shy.
They really keep to themselves and don't bother anyone. BUT they are small fish eaters, (I believe its a member of the grouper or assessor family) so plan accordingly.

is one compatable with a 29 gallon tank?

Hi Frank, hope you don't mind me butting in a bit here.

A 29 might be a tight fit for him, they do get upwards of 8 inches.

Frank, I'm curious what tankmates you keep yours with. Mine was very reclusive for about 6 months, until I removed a fiesty tang, and now he is almost always out cruisin' in plain sight.

Greg:
no problem, actually the more opinions the better.
I keep my betta w/ a rocket propelled Vlamingi tang, an 8" annularis angel, and 7 lions (most small). The betta stays tucked behind my giant fake vase coral, until food hits the water.

LOL - I don't blame him. I would too. :D

All beautiful fish, BTW.
