Its been a long time since I have snorkeled....going back to my parents house I was looking for my gear....only to find my lenses from my mask were broken. What I ended up with was an old round black mask with the nose nozzel thing...Got to tell ya...they don't make stuff like they used to. This mask which is probably 30 years old didn't have a single drop of water in and was great to use...surprised me quite a bit.
Anways. I spend a few hours in La Jolla Cove in Lajolla(san diego) Visibility was about 10-20 feet and the water was a great 70 degrees...saw tons of baby garibaldi and adult garibali.....some types of wrasses and flounder and a horn shark which was about 4-5 ' swam right underneath me. Quite an experience...considering its only 40 mins away from me...i think that I will be spedning my weekends there quite often.
