I know these are up elsewhere on the board, but this is actually the appropriate forum :)
Well, here we go.

My post-Holy Week, week of snorkelling.
Ligpo Point/Island, Batangas Bay, Philippines
(4 hours from Manila by bus)

Had to angle this shot and time it with a cloud to avoid light wash-out of color. This is on a Pectinia-dominated reef about 11 metres from a fishing village. The residents are hard put cleaning up the plastic trash that seasonally washes up all the way from from Manila

Shallow water, direct-overhead shot shows how intense the light is, washing out most color.

here's an older pic of the same reef.

Lots of fun. Good food. Nice people.
Terrible amenities at the resort we chose, but the prices were unbelievably low.

Wish you guys would post pics too!

Looks great :D I'm turning green with envy, considering that I am planning my first dive of the season next week in balmy mid 40's water  Should be good for spearing some blackfish for the dinner table, willing to bet it beats anemone fritters for dinner :D

If the weather holds I'm going for that dive this Wendsday. With a little luck I'll be having that blackfish dinner to :D I'll take a pic for you.

Bill/anyone,

Is it possible to post a JPG in here without needing it to be stored in a URL somewhere else? If so, how?
Just took some macro shots on my previous dive trip, and thought I'd put some on them up here.

Roger

narkosis,
The pics do need to be stored on a server somewhere and linked to the post by typing *the url* without the *
If you don't have webspace you might be able to use one of the free webpage servers such as homestead or email Larry, I think he might put your pictures on this server to link to if need be. I'm sure we would all love to see them :) Where were you diving?

Hi Narkosis.

If Larry frightens you :), you can send any pics to me (in jpg or gif format) as e-mail attachments. I'd be happy to host them temporarily, and any other pics you want to post.

Bill,
Like Horge, I'm from tropical Asia as well, Malaysia. So far, all my dives have been in Malaysia and Phuket. Taking up scuba 5 years ago was meant to be a replacement for deep-sea fishing for me, but it ended up with me going into reefkeeping as well!

Just as well, since I don't get much time to go diving these days. Who the heck started the dotCom run anyway!

Horge, I'll be sending you some of my earlier pix till I get the most recent ones scanned (last month). Thx for the hosting.

Roger
