Just thought I'd share some photos from my week off work. I spent a few days in the Bayfield and Ashland county area, and stopped into the Wildwood Zoo in Minocqua on the way home. I've got well over 300 photos, but these are all I've had time to process thus far.

Thanks... I have alot of trouble taking outdoor photos with my D70 and not blowing highlights with out turning shadowed areas into pure black. I guess I have to stop worrying so much when I see blinky highlights on the preview. It always amazes me how dynamic outdoor photography really is between the bright sky and dark shadows.

Yeah really nice.
Is that cross-eyed one an opossum?
Gawd I'm old I remember watching doctari with Clarence the cross-eyed lion when I was a kid hehe.

Yea... I didn't realize it, but all of them are cross eyed. Pretty funny though, I thought.

The one pictured is actually a New Guinea singing dog. Pretty much the same thing, just not from Australia. It's actually my friends, and he is trying to find a home for it. (If your intarested.) It's a very friendly pet, and was raised indoors. I'd love to adopt him, but he would with out a doubt eat my cats. Although he is a very friendly pet, he is still very much a wild dog.

I don't need no baby stealing singing New Guinea dingo dog (just kidding).
Really I have 2 big dogs already.
My shepherd doesnt really like other dogs and when I got the akita mix they fought bad but she held her own against him.
I was bit twice by them by accident when trying to break it up.
I found out the problem was when I gave them rawhides he hid his and waited for her to try to take it lol. I eliminated the rawhides and they havent fought in years but I don't want to go through that again lol.
Really nice looking dog though it will hopefully find a home.

Lol... just like having kids huh? Take away the toys, and the fighting stops. (And the crying starts.) :D Anyways, I'm not sure how well he'd get along with other dogs either. Although he's a very friendly dog, he takes a while to come around to strangers. I'd love to adopt him, but living in the city I doubt my neighbors would apreciate the songs he sings...

Thanks... photography has sort of taken over, and it's just occured to me that it's really all I care about when ever I leave home on a vacation. It's a good excuse to go beautiful places, and take some time to relax! But like the rest of my hobbies... it's just too bad it isn't less expensive!
