Hey all,

I've had my nano up and running for about 6 months and haven't been adding anything to the tank other than 10% water changes weekly. I just got some C-Balance and I was wondering if someone can recommend dosages? It says on the bottles to start with 5ml a day per 20 gallons. Anyone else using this stuff? If so, how much are you using. I know that there are a lot of variables involved. Just looking for a place to start. Can I get away with just using the C-Balance and nothing else?

My nano is a 10 gallon with the ecosystem 40.

Inhabitants are:

1 cherub angel

15 pounds of LR

finger leather
unidentified acropora
bunch of xenia
colt coral
rose coral
candy cane coral
ricordia
bunch of 'shrooms
bunch of button polyps
bunch of star polyps
tiny cuke
bunch of caulerpa
coupla' snails

Thanks,
Troutman

Troutman:

I think it is pretty hard to give a dose other than the manufacturers recommended dose without some clacium and alkalinity testing. Even knowing the corals, we don't know how fast they are growing, how much coralline algae is growing., etc. So we can't really give you a dose.

I'd recommend getting such tests, and then altering the doses to maintain the desired levels of calcium and alkalinity.
