Hey everyone, I'm back from my trip. After being gone for 3 weeks, some things are noticably different. One surprising thing is how much the vermatid snails have grown. For those of yu who aren't familiar with vematids, these are stationary snails with no shell, always attached to the same spot. They send out long strings of mucus that catches stuff floating by, then reels it in and eats. This picture is the biggest one. You can see the brown "jelly" like lump on the back of the hammer. You can see the mucous strings in the picture, but unless I personally point them out, you probably won't be able to pick them out. This vermatid is about an inch in diameter. You can see the head and antennae poking out.
