Took my 29 QT tank and decided to turn it into a Nano :) I needed something to occupy my reefing habit at our apartment in Chicago.

I took a sheet of acrylic and sectioned off the back to make a refuge and a place to hide all the nasties :)

There are two eheim pumps for circulation.

Nothing special yet looks kinda ghetto. I still have to get that black film to put on the back and get some adequate lights on it but here it is as of now. Enjoy :) Comments welcomed.

A picture showing the way it is sectioned off. You can see some bracing that I had to put in, cause some of you know how well silicone sticks to acrylic. Dont know what I was thinking :)

LOL yeah nothing is hidden yet, the coraline is starting to grow so hopefully that will change soon :)

that white thing is covering one of the intakes for the overflow. Hoping that the coraline will take to that also, as you can see its a pretty big eye sore :D

It WAS a screen that you use for small paint rollers. It is now a cover of sort for the overflow intake at the bottom. Cant really see it to well, the hole that is lol. But the overflow is like an AGA with two pieces of acrylic so that I could suck water from the bottom of the tank also.

I orginally didn't want stick the hole dang piece in like that but when I brought it to chicago, I filled it up, made my salt and then realized oops forgot to glue something in front of the hole. So I went to home depot and got what you see there. Its not a show tank so doesn't have to look pretty, just needs to help me with reefing withdrawals when im away from my 72 :D.

Thanks, Yes I used a dremel and fine toothed hacksaw to make my cuts. Figuring out how big the overflow holes had to be was a bit confusing. I have a formula somewhere that tells you how many square inches it has to be. It was pretty close. But I think I need more flow.
