I am pretty interested in breeding Royal Grammas. A girl at the LFS told me you CAN'T under any circumstance put more then one in a tank. I don't belive it, and don't trust the source. I read in a recent "Aquarium Fish" magazine that you can keep 2 full size males in a 55 or more, with some fighting here & there, and that they will for the most part leave each other alone. Now if I were to get a male/female pair, it wouldn't be uncommon for them to breed. I realize there is no physical way to distinguish male from female, other then size. Would it be risky to get another one, considering I have a juvanile one presently? Any ideas would be great, thanks.

Joe:
can i recommend you do a search here in the breeders forum.
Minh has posted a few times that his royal grammas have spawned and he may have figured out which sex is which. If your tank is big enuf and you have enuf hidey holes you can probably get a few royal grammas in the tank.
Do a search please
