Moon Lights

I'm curious to find out who runs moon lights, and for those that do, how long are they on at night? Mine run from the time the VHOs go off untill they come back on in the morning. I've thought about having them turn off at 2 or 3 in the morning, or adjust for the lunar cycle, but would need another timer to do that.

Do any of you do anything special with them?

i'm doing an experiment with led moon lighting things like that. i'll let you know more about it i'm in the process of doing it soon.

Best to do it with the lunar cycle

I guess I could hook up the X-10 Smart Home kit I have. It's been new in the box for over a year. The software would make it really easy to automatically adjust for the lunar cycle. Then again, I've been saving it to maybe use as a trade since none of my corals are big enough to frag yet.

Mine are on 24/7. During the day you cant even see them though. At night it gives off a great looking blue hue that shows off the tank very well. I feel it is a great idea for tanks.
