and blood, and sweat! *WHEW* what an ordeal!

93 Lumina Z34. Power steering fluid skeets out very fast under pressure. Thought it was the pump, so I took it off, and broke the pulley in half in the process. So I bought a new pulley, but the pump wasnt leaking. Under the car I went, fro an hour till I found the leak, in the pressure line. No sweat, right? Wrong. Left hands on right handed folks dont weild slick tools very well. 2 hours later, I got it out with the help of my lovely assistant, Paula. Now comes the hard part......putting a new one back on. :(
Cry for me, Reef Central
...And a prayer if you dont mind :D

This is the exact reason, I quit working on cars.

Hope it works out for ya.

If a problem requires a wrench, I get a new car. ;)

Hey hes! :)
I can relate! :D Yesterday I had to put a fan swith on my toy4x4...The "high" speed went out and it was slightly needed on these 100degree days :) ...The little sucker was 53.00$ and required the total dissassembly of the dash to install..

I couldn't find my left-handed crescent wrench or my metric adjustable wrench! ;) It just wasn't a good day!! :D

Have fun guys!...jim

Ditto. I have two left feet for hands when it comes to cars.

And the pressure hose will be expensive ; 10 yr ago it was >$100 for a plain old pontiac . Bought plugs and wires for my 98 GMC ( like $50 -plugs and $100 -wire) 3 months ago : still waiting for the right time to install them. Need to check my astrological chart :) .

Hi Hesaias,

I used to play with my cars before they put all this computer junk in them. I feel your pain. I had a 77 Cutlass that needed a new water pump, 10 hours later it was in. I have 93 Cutlass and I would not even attempt to work on it unless it needs gas or air in the tires. Last year I leased and Olds Alero and I have only opened the hood once to see if there was a motor in there. :)

When I was young I said I would either work on cars or computers for a living. I picked the computers because I did not want to get my hands dirty. :)

I have a new motto that I follow, if the warranty on the car runs out or the ash tray gets full it's time for a new car. :)

Well I just got the ole ride fixed. Fox, if you lived closer, id have took you up on it. The Mrs. helped me, I couldnt have done it w/o her. I hate new cars. This line was in a hole just big enough for it, and no room for hands :D

Well, back to every thing else I neglected this week......
