Help with removing pistol shrimp?

I have trying to catch a pistol shrimp for a few weeks now...any suggestions?

Try a glass jar sunk into the sand up to the rim, but the inside of the glass is just water. Put a small piece of his favorite food in there. He won't be able to get out.
