Went to UR for the anniversary sale/celebration (20% off & free food!) and then Oddballs for a few corals. Here's what I came home with;

Still waiting on these to open up fully, they're now glued to a rock.

Still looking for positive ID.
Also got an awesome red/pink serpent star. Forgot to take pictures before it disappeared.

TheMcs,

Great looking corals and anenome (sp). I will have to look you up when my tank gets cycled and mature. Will you have any frags for sale/trade in the future?

Looking for a positive I.D. on the anemone or all of them?

1. Tracyphyllia sp. (open brain)

2. Hard to determine from picture, some type of feather duster worm

3. Seriatopora sp. (most likely Seriatopora hystrix as it appears to be the most common species in the aquarium)

4. Tubastrea sp. (sun polyps as you said) Make sure you feed these guys. They are nonphotosynthetic and dependent on an extracellular food source from supplemental feedings with meaty foods. They are also colonial, so each individual polyp needs to be fed for best health.

5. Appears to be either Acropora millepora or Acropora prostrata, but the more I study these guys the more I realize how impossible it is to positively identify them :D

6. Entacmae quadricolor (bubble tip anemone)

Nice new additions

Thanks for the info Jared! The #2 Scott named to me but I can't remember, something that was on the cover of Julian Sprung's (I think) new book.

Yes, the BTA was sold to me as is, cheap.

I'm all about fragging, hopefully when you're ready I will be too.

Is #2 a coral or some other type of invertebrate? It is very hard to notice any determining detail in the picture, but I was thinking some type of retracted feather duster.

It's a coral, the heads open up and looks like some sort of star polyp.
Just called Scott, he said it's Clavularia.

Oh, the green clavularia he had in the center of his tank? They look weird as individual polyps.

That's it, he gave me about 6, only two were viable. Hoping to get a colony out of them eventually.

Those things are awesome! One of the few soft coral that makes me go :eek1:

I wish I had known about the sale! :( Oh well, nice purchases. Also - you need an overall tank pic in your gallery!

Sorry! Thought about posting the sale weekend, but with all the garbage that's been on the board I didn't want to be accused of plugging anyone.
I'll get a fullt ank shot up soon. BTW, the candycanes I got from you are growing well, one stalk is already splitting.

I found out about it at UR, they had flyers on the display case. Shane was giving me a hard time that no one bought him a cake, so maybe if we go in on a belated anniversary cake he'll do another 20% off weekend...

I just went in to look like I normally do and found out that way. At least I got a hot dog.....and some lights....I bet that made up for about 50 hot dogs

Maybe he should get some email addy's rounded up and start updating that way. I'd certainly went by to check it out but I guess I was a day late as usual.

I fragged out the dying seriatopora into 3 pieces. Hopefully in a couple months I'll have something to show for it.
