Huuummppphhh

Well what do you know Mom and Dad went on vacation this week and I'm home alone, oh no!!! To my supreise on morning I found the basement sink topped with water!!! Talk about a clog somewhere!! The is one of those deep plastic cheapo sinks. My dad's wet dry vac, oh m,aybee 8 gallons, just doesn't cut it. So where can I pick one up at? It'll probbly be able to suck the clog out too I hope!! Tonight when it filled up again I had to get the friggin garden hose and siphon the water out. Emptying that little vac takes too long, fills up quicker than I can empty it too. Good thing there coming home tomarrow. :D

Have ya tried a plunger? :D
Seriously though, if it's the basement sink the water may be backing up from the sewer main in frount of your house....Does the water come up in the sink out of the drain without the faucets being turned on in the sink?...If so, there is probably a clog somewhere between your house and the city system...Mom and Dad might be calling a plumber to have them rod the line out with one of those cable machines...

Be careful of the backing up water as it will be filled with all kinds of bacteria...Best regards and sorry for your troubles...jim

Yep, tried the plunger. The bigest problem is I can't get any air pressure or vacume on the line. The sink is in the basement and connected above to the line is the upstairs kitchen sink. I can plug both drain lines but I'm not climbing the roof to plug the vent. At least the problem is on the back end of the house, all the others seem to do just fine.

Guess Roto-Rooter will have some fun...
