Well there is a similer picture of the larger snail shown in "The Modern Coral Reef Aquarium" Volume 1. it Is written by Svien A Fossa and Alf Jacob Nilsen. page #188 shows the larger snail and just identifies it as a nocturnal snail of the turbo sp. as for the other smaller snails i cannot find any referance picture in any of my other books. on the up side i did find pictures of predatory snails and none looked like those you have shown...mybe someone else can find a picture of one in a book that i dont have........jaime

Nope, and those look like Nerites, don't they?

Dr. Ron said the little ones are periwinkles (although the periwinkle shells I pick up from the beach look more like the larger snails shell, hmm) and the large one is a trochea.

Both are great for a tank, but might possibly climb out as they wait for high tide in shallow pools and sometimes out of water altogether. No escapees just yet :)
