3", I think male slippery dick wrasse looking for a new home. Still in mostly juvenille colors. 20mos. in captivity, wild caught in the Keys. Eats anything you throw at it. Max adult length reported to be 9-10 inches.

Passive towards tank-mates (scooter blennie & CBB). Exhibits excellent "wrassy" behavior: zooming around, diving into the sand, picking up things...... :(

Getting a little too "big" for my small system. Likes to pick up frags, small rocks, etc... I'll qualify this as a reef safe, but not frag safe fish. A bit too curious for me right now.

University area. Pm me if you're intrested.

Thanks

Thanks Palm Beach County Reef Research Team & Marinelife images for the pics.

Mine is in the juvenille stage, albeit a little more brilliantly colored than the one in the image. There are opalescent scales down the lateral stripe & the top is a bit more tan.

Pike, I have just the tank for it. My buddy Dave has a 600G and really wanted one of these guys.

Pike, Hassan would make sure it got a great new home. Plenty of room in 600 gallons.

Good Job Hassan, But why not your tank?

It's his if he wants it. PM me for info.

Think ole 'dick might like 600g's to play in.

Dav, I think that it'll be a little destructive in a reef. Dave B. has a FO.

Pike, PM sent.

Hi-Tide has one just like it that is about 6". One of the guys caught it in FL when it was tiny. Looks just like Pike's. Just happened to see it when I was in there today.

Dropped off the wrasse & a gold-spot goby today with David along with a clump of my "pod disco" chaeto. Those 2 fish looked huge in my 40.. In David's monster system they look like wee itty bitty things :)

That 6" was caught at the same time as mine... I helped catch them :)

David's homebuilt tank is awesome. Thanks for giving my little monsters such a nice home!

Pike,

How did the other fish respond to them? I know that he has a couple of fish that can get a little rough at times. I'm going to have to stop by his place to see them!

Didn't see them in the system, but acclimating in the sump. His sump is 2X bigger than My system though. :)

I emailed him a few days back & he said they are getting along nicely. The wrasse is pretty much sticking to the rockwork I imagine :) The rate he grows, he'll be juking around in the water column with the big guys before too long.
