Another reference freebie.

Scroll to the bottom of that page, and you can download the entire atlas in .pdf format ("download full version").

It's pretty nice, has a lot of good info. on the soft corals and decent color pictures.

Fair warning though - it's a *large* file - took me almost 1/2 hour to download on a cable connection. And, for some quirky reason, I couldn't get it to download right using Netscape (6.2); worked okay with IE 6.0.

You ain’t kidding. It took me about 15 - 20 minutes on a T1. It was worth it though. The graphics and user interface are very cool. I wish they had more information on each coral, but I guess with 36 genera of soft corals they had to cut some corners.
