Hey Eric, when surfing in the other forum, is there a "home" button that takes you back to the full page all forum? Maybe I'm just missing it, but I go into something post and next thing I know I'm stuck...

I like how the rock is set up. How much did you spend on lighting?

ha, Micki you have a little colony of clown fish...ps where'd you get that bubble coral at?

Micki

Evanish, Thanks, we have three 250 watt MH and 4 65 watt pc actinic. We used the pc actinic from our 55 gal tank. We bought the Retro fit MH lights at Hello lights. I think we paid around $650.00.

bigfalcon36, I had 2 of the clowns in the 55 and two clowns in a 20 gal. I added each pair of clowns to the 125 on the same day, but I added one pair at one end and one pair at the other end. In the 55 the clowns would never cross the mid kine of the tank. As soon as I added all four clowns, they imediately all went to the middle and became friends! They now all four swim all over the 125 tank.

I got the bubble coral at Jacks in Sidney 9 months ago. It was about the size of a quarter. It out grew the 55 and was killing anything near it. When I set this tank up, I made the entire corner for it with nothing around it. When fully open, it now touches the glass or rock on all three sides.

Jacks charges too much. I always get my fish from the one in sdney but there coral prices are alot.

get used to the prices if youre gonna be in this hobby, I have learned if youre gonna get something good, you have to pay for it

I only go to Jacks now and then. At the time, that was the only place I knew of to get anything. I have since grown up a bit ;)

Big is right, there are few things in this hobby that aren't costly. But... We can do frag swaps/buys, group orders/trips etc. to help cut cost. I know I have talked to fellow reefers on lots of $$$ saving tips!

Andrew

Micki

bigfalcon36

you and me both, I am going to go over to slicktrax's when he does his fragging. So I can learn his method because the ones he gave me are bad a$$ and really healthy

I learned one thing the hard way dude...to remain calm. Micki taught me that one. you could be ready in 1 week, the key is water parameters...keep them in spec and youre good to go

Micki
