IPOD (Not reef related)

I know they are made by Apple, but that's about it. I would guess most of your bigger electronic stores would have them, ie Best Buy, CompUSA, etc.

IPOD i belive only made by apple. best buy, electronics stores, online yo can find them. lots of brands of MP3 players but only one manufature of IPOD, its a brand name for apples Mp3 players

anyways IPOD used apples format which i dont think is mp3 but something simliar..i have never owned an IPOD but used to own an mp3 player

I have a Nike/phillips MP3 player and its really nice. I bought a broken one off of eBay and then went and bought a new one from Best Buy and then returned the broken one to Best Buy...anyhow, I really like mine!

i have the dell dj20 and i love it. mp3's are the greatest thing. i've got about 80 hours of music on mine and it's less than 1/4 used up

see that's the thing about Ipods you cant use the illegal MP3s that you can get from kazaa.com or limewire.com you have to use their format and they make you pay for it. new mine was $129 and that was for 128MB of memory you can get a 256MB for a little bit more, but I use mine for running so I got the cheaper one.

Not true you can use music from kazaa on your ipod. Just transfer the songs onto the ipod using whatever program you have such as itunes, music match. I have an ipod and love it, I think its superior to any other mp3 player. Go to apple.com and look around at the different models they have. But I would buy the ipod for sure.

Stumbled on your thread, and I'm not local, but do know a thing or two about this subject.

That being said, the $99 ipod is the ipod shuffle. All ipods play mp3 files as well apple's itunes format. The misconception that they only play apple's format comes from the fact that you have to use the itunes application to load the files onto the device. Itunes is available for mac and windows.

Doug, what is your opinion of the $99.00 IPOD? My boss said she heard that there is one for $99.00. Would it be a good one and how many songs would it hold? I think they want me to check into getting a gift card to down load music as well? Any thoughts on this?

Doug/beerguy, I wasnt referring to you as be the outsider, although you do fall under the category. I'm glad you read our forum, but some person called me out on have a Shoddy MP3...non IPOD, so I responded with no harm intended. The people that know me from this forum know I was joking, but obviosly other didnt know I was...either that or they can't take a joke.

i got mine at dell.com and i paid $215 for it. it's got a 20gig

i also got a lot of accessories just for the heck of it, many of which i dont use. i paid about $550 with accessories

i get all my music off limewire (pro edition) and i use dudebox for editing

i dont know this for sure, but i think those $99 mp3 players only hold about 4 hours of music. i'm having a blast trying to fill mine up. supposedly mine can hold 9,900 4 min. songs

well our society is now so freaking backwards there is no punishment, very few people actually DO work anymore, the court system here doesnt seem to do anything either....they make threats the kids call the bluff, kids learn they have the power. Court turns into a joke.
