Never again try to set 4x4 wooden fence posts in the rain, with 50mph winds, when its below 30 degrees, and your standing in a giant mud pit mixing concrete....man that sucked

I was on spring break week before last. The weather wasn't good then either. I think I'll ahve to take a few days off when it's nicer weather. Although, I did take last wednesday off and it was a BEAUTIFUL day!

do you guys think it would be ok for me to use a shop vac to get a little bit of sand out of my sump today when i do my water change?

I would think if you have drained all the water out (at least as far as you can) it would be ok. But I could be wrong... :)

sure, as long as your shop vac can handle liquids. the saltwater may eat up any metal in the shop vac though. i used a screwdrive to dislodge a piece of rock from my return line and didnt clean it afterwards. next time i went to use it, it was covered with rust.

the shop vac worked...problem was that I sucked up more water than I prepared for the water change so I had to make some more. Waiting for every thing to settle to see if it made a difference in the clarity of my water.
