Hi fellow California reefers:
If you haven't heard, MARS (Marine Aquarists Roundtable of Sacramento) is hosting a frag swap on April 16 in Dixon. See our forum for more info.
Anyway, there have been a lot of questions about what constitutes a rare coral for the purposes of the Mars swap.
If you have any question as to whether your coral will be considered rare, please post a pic on this thread. Jim (bookfish) from BAR and I will be working together on the day of the swap and prior to determine whether or not corals will receive the rare label.
Every coral will be handled on a case by case basis. Coral must be a desirable species and color morph to qualify. Although many "LE" corals will qualify, that label alone is not he end of the determination.
Please keep your posts brief and try to restrict them to pics only. Sometime prior to the swap, Jim and I will consult and post our decisions.
