Well i guess my questions are answered, Barney seems to have a mouthfull of eggs! hopefully he will carry them to term. I noticed that Betty was Pale for the last few days like she was in nightime mode and then today i saw Barneys full mouth and i had to get a pic for you guys to see. Anyone got a link for projected due dates and such We would really appreciate it.

The link you shot me will be a good start. do you know of any books i could purchase as well? also i have a question, i have a pajama cardinal and a coral beauty in the tank with barney and betty. they all get along pretty well but once in a while betty goes on a terror and chases everybody. i do have a 10 gallon QT set up and running should i move barney now or wait a few weeks. the link I gave you is the best stuff out there right now.
No book specifically on breeding banggais (I haven't finished writing it yet), but read the site, it has everything you need to successfully an easily raise these critters. There are a few breeding specific books and they give you good info on prepareing food items for the fry.

Also do searches here for banggai (the breeders forum) I field about 60% of the question specifically on banggais. Banggais are probably the #1 fish being repeatedly and successfully bred in the home.
Yes betty will kick butt on the others, its her job once barney has a mouthful (read the articles) she protects him and their fry. AS for removing barney...NOT now.... wait until you see the fry swimming in his mouth. usually around day 18-25.

You said that you were writing a book on banggai's, any idea when it will be out?..how long will it be? what is the focus of the book?...i'd love to get my hands on one when it does come out :D
