Hi all, after threatening for a long time I finally got a pentium to replace the old 486 50mghz unit I,ve struggled with for a couple years. Got NS4.73 installed and abunch of other stuff, e-mail is back up(up all night with this) the only thing left to do is import bookmarks. I copied them onto floppy but need an easy way to reinstall in new browser, any suggestions?

Way to go, Doug! Maybe you can handle our Java chat now. What browser are you using? There should be a "import bookmarks" link somewhere.

Did you copy a file called 'bookmark.htm' from your old computer to the floppy?...If you did, take and copy that same file into the new netscape folder on the new machine...Put it right where you removed it from the old system--the computer should tell you that the file already exsist and ask you if you wish to overwrite..."Yes" you do, so tell it to proceed...If it doesn't ask you about the overwrite, you're puttin it in the wrong place! Program files/netscape/users/??-'your name' should be the command line I believe... :)

Best regards and congrats on the new machine!...jim

It may also be in your Windows Explorer>>Windows Folder>>Favorites Folder>> and paste file the there. I would think it would work for NS or IE, but I am not sure about NS.
