For anyone that is interested, there is a slick little web site about this fish at www.dinofish.com (http://www.dinofish.com)
It even has a virtual swimming coelacanth.
This fish has always fascinated me because of its status as being extinct for millions of years...at least until LIVING coelacanths were "discovered" off the coast of Madagascar.
I can picture these fish swimming around in the ocean laughing at us humans and saying, "Fossil record? We don't need no steenking fossil record."
