After about four months, my clowns have discovered my BTA. (I wasn't sure that they would ever take to it, but am glad they finally did.)

atreis, That's great!!! I love clowns and anemones! I have 4 GBTA right now. I'm getting rid of at least two of them. One of my clowns has decided to make my new baby goni it's host. UGH!

How long have you had your anemone? Does it still have nice bubbles?

trade you an eel for a bta !! my clowns took over six months to find the anenome. swam up and down in a rear corner of the tank exclusively until they moved to the anenome

If we would have set our 55 up as a FO tank after our upgrade, I would take you up on that!

The clowns have had a few separate sleeping and general-hangout spots (including the top of my Tunze!) before finding it. I noticed about a week ago that they were starting to explore it, slowly getting closer and closer. The clowns have been in the tank for about 8 months, and the anemone for around 3 or 4.

My BTA varies... Sometimes it has large bubbles, sometimes none at all. It gets very large and open when it wants fed.

I got my first GBTA in July, 2004. Two days later it split. Neither of the two had bubbles any more. They got huge. I moved them to my 125, two days later they both split again! I now have 4! None of them have bubbles. I will keep one or two and get rid of the other two.

Can i be first in line to get one of your splits?

Hey Slick, sure! When do you want one? Haven't decided fro sure how much I'll sell them for. I can guarantee it will be a LOT cheaper than a LFS!

Mine was VERY small when I got it. It's grown quite a bit, but so far, no signs of splitting.

When I got mine last July is was very small as well. Then as I said, it split the next day. I had two very tiny anemones. They got huge! Then three weeks ago I moved them to my 125 and the split the next day. Now I have 4 very large anemones!

if you want to try an encourage a split do a large water change. depending on the volume of your tank. it will trick them into thinking they are in a larger system and split. Probably why mikkis split when first introduced into her first tank and then into the 125. I have read that people have BTAs that will split seem to split when first brought home. I couple of people have tried the water change technique and have had success.

I may play around with that in time. Thanks for the suggestion!
