A sump is a second tank plumbed to your main tank that prefoms your main filtration. Water flows from your main tank via a over flow in to the sump that contains your filtration, bio balls, live rock, sand bed, macro algae...
The water is then pumped back into the main tank to complete the loop. I would drop your temp a litte to more to 74 for starters. What are you feeding it?
