Does anyone know of a good iI.D. tool.I'm tired of depending on suppliers common name du jour for the cephs i have for sale.Plus i look like a dope when folks ask me "what type of octo is that?".

By far , the best book you can get is Cephalopods a World Guide, by Mark
Norman. Its the ceph ID bible. Most octos you will get will be one of several
species. You really need to know the ocean it came. O briareus and O.vulgaris are
common atlantic and Caribbean species. O. bimaculoides, O.bimaculatus are pacific
coast species. Then you some time get the imports from bali and such. Some of us
even luck out with the rare and exotic macropuses, wonderpus and Mimic octos:D
:D :D
You can't beat a bimac in my opinion! but I wouldn't trade my Mimic for anything
hehe.
