I'd honestly rather not be bothered with shipping. I just want to get rid of this stuff because it has taken over my tank.
I have never shipped a coral before and I've also heard that Xenias ship like crap anyway.

well jimmhobbs and northshore bothshipped me some Xenia inthe last two weeks and it came through with flying colors.
1 tip is to attach it to a small rock before shipping and float the rock with the Xenia on it by ataching it to a peice of styrofoam (ruberbands) ship it floating upside down in the bag.

Thanks for your advice, aLittletank, but I do not want to ship. I purposely included "NY area" in my post because I would like to deal with people locally.
I too have received Xenia's in the way you described. One shipment came to me and died and the other was fine. I can make over 100 cuttings of this stuff and do not have the time nor the room to set up a propagation tank.
