People have been telling me to add live rock now. So that the cycling will take place... Should i add the rock now since the tank is new.

Asre there any type of livestock you reccomned to start producing bacteria?

Here is a pic i took right when i added the water, and about 6hrs of settling....

You don't need to add anything. The cycle will take place on it's own. Be sure you have your ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and pH test kits handy and test the water daily to keep track of the cycle.

Well the reason i want to add the rock now is that i dont have the spike in the levels once i do add it later on.. i would rather get the rock to have the sytem start t take place from the beginning.

I think you misunderstood my post. I meant...AFTER you've added the LR, you don't need to add anything to jump start the cycle. It will take place on it's own.

Add the LR. Depending upon how cured, or uncured it is, your cycle can take anywhere from 2-8 weeks. Once your levels have all reached zero, you can add a clean up crew to take care of the dead matter left over from the cycle.
