Dang Damsels

I built a pop bottle fish trap to try to catch my damsels today....Boy they were interested, but they just would not go in.

Did catch my peppermint shrimp though so it worked for something. :)

keep trying with tasty food. If all esle failes wait a few hours after lights out and snag them while they sleep on the bottom. May take a few tries but this has worked for me in the past.

Mine hide in the rocks when they are sleeping. I think maybe my opening may have been too small as well, but I was afraid to make it too big for fear they'd swim right back out.

try to make it really long, with food in the very back so they dont have time to swim out

i have some tiny fish hooks if you get real desperate, they are sized to catch minnows

Does that actually work? I've heard people mention it. I'm about ready to try that.

That would be kinda cool in a weird way. Actually being able to watch the fish as he goes for the hook.
