Another oddity

Here's a pic of my ca reactor. There's a yellow ppt in the plumbing. I guess this substance involves sulfur?

I've not heard of such precipitates before, nor can I easily guess what it is. Sulfur compounds are often yellow, but so are other things. Maybe the plastic is degrading? Maybe it is an unusual algae?

Anyone else seen such precipitates or have a guess what it is?

Mine is completely brownish-yellow. The reactor has been running about 3 months, maybe 3 1/2. I believe I saw a post with someone else asking about this in the main forum not long ago too.
