hey carl i have a tourch in my nano cube it is doing awsome under the 2 watts per gallon i have. try feeding it dt's live phytoplankton that might help or you can try to feed it some type of other plankton. i might get flamed for this but try daphnia i use it for my ricordeas and zoos and yes the tourch coral and they color up nicly and grow like weeds. just an idea and dont flame me really bad here a newbie remember is always in need of correction lol :) :) :) :) :) :) :P

Wow, he's not looking too hot. What are you looking for in trade, considering that the aleveopora may die or will at least have to be babied for a long time.

Thanks for the alveo, carl, so far I'm seeing a small amount of the polyps. Maybe about 20% of the polyps are slightly coming out. I figure a week until a little extension. But it's obvious the color is going to be phenomenal! I still have the monti cap I promised you, for when the tanks back up and running. Until then, it's getting a nice tan under 6500k lighting and growing like a weed! Nice deep maroon. It's from one of ChrisAggie's frags, he has some of the nicest stuff!

From reading that other thread, I'd give that Liquid Life marine plankton a try for sure. It did miracles on those other corals.

Hi all, for what its worth that is a goniopora not alveopora. Alveopora has 12 fingers at the tip of each polyp stalk, and gonio has 24.
