I set up my 24 G nano cube about 6 weeks ago. Live sand on the bottom and about 20 lbs of live rock. I have not made any modifications to the back of it. All is stock. Nitrites and Nitrates are pefect and no ammonia. I stays about 77.7 degrees.
Lights are one from 7:00 am to about 7:00 pm. I would think that reducing the amount of light time would help, but when the lights come on in the morning, the tank has a cloudy haze and even floating green hair. This clears up throughout the day while the lights are on. I treated for hair algae with a phosphate filter pad, and I keep a bag of chemipure in the back sump.
Any ideas?
