Not a store, but the Aquarium of the Americas is nice to visit.

Coral Connection is one NOT to be missed. ;) Prolly the nicest in the state as far as corals go. Most of their frags are downstairs, so if you don't see the SPS frag tanks just ask. :D

I'll agree with Coral Connection and Aquatic Specialties, I drive an hour each way to visit these stores regularly.

there about a week with only streetcars and buses.

Lowell, when are you arriving? I'm going to CC and AS this Sun, 3-20-95. I could possibly give you a ride. There's no telling what day they'll get shipments though, and/or if they'll be picked over. Kinda a luck thing for me.

Want me to call and find out for ya? Personally I like to shop the day afer the shipments come in. Gives stuff time enough to see how it's doing in a halfass way. I don't buy right out the bag, and although I might missout of the really rare stuff, I had too many in the past go downhill buying right out the bag.

I've been buggin them for a frag of this. Do any of those SPS seem affected by that particular leather.

Too bad you misseed Coral Connection, you would have gotten pics that would blow the minds of peope here. You have to vsit CC next time. Maybe I can get George to let me take some pics this week, including his 1000gallon+ reef, prop room, and holding troughs.

And the Owner of Rick's Reef, Rick, is awesome. I used to sell SPS to him when he was just a hobbiest and not a retailer. I used to visit his house about a mile away from my house and would trade stuff. In fact, I bought my current 1/4 HP from him, used but in great shape. Rick is awesome. A member here, eidillitih, works there during summers. :)

Nope, I don't mind at all. Thanks for asking BTW. I just wanted to let folks know that the people I met in these stores seemed to know their stuff, and that their stores were top-notch. I definitely was sorry I missed CC, but thier hours and the things we had planned this trip just kept it from happening. Hopefully the next time I go to NO I'll have a few hours to kill on Saturday or Sunday in the afternoon.

Yeah make sure you spread the good news about coral connection!! I just talked to George the other day and he said he is now probably the largest distrubuter in the south! Someone try to get some pics, as my cam sucks. lol
