I'm planning on building a second chamber for my calcium reactor this weekend and have a simple question. Should it be sealed water/air tight, or can/should it be open topped to allow co2 to escape? TIA, Agu

I made mine sealed. I took a section of 2" PVC pipe and put a coupling with a 2" PVC plug in it. On the other end I put a 2" PVC union with a 2" PVC plug in the other end of it. I then drilled a hole in the top and bottem plugs and tapped it for 1/8" NPT. I put 1/8" NMPT to 3/16" hose barb in each end in these holes. The union allows entry into the chamber to fill it. This was version two. I tried using a 2" section of PVC pipe with 2" male male adaptors on each end. I then screwed 2" PVC caps that had a hole drilled and tapped for 1/8" NPT. I screwed that caps on the male adaptors after filleig it and I tried everything to stop the cap to adaptor from leaking and was not successful :( so I went with the union and it works like a champ. :)
