Ok. Bought a 180 gal tank. My goal is to have it set up my October. I need to build a hood. I build one for my 75, but that was in my friend's shop. He has moved :( and I have no tools to complete such a task. Is there someone out there with the hardware that might be willing to help for a small fee? I can buy all the materials, and draw up some plans. I just need someone to help me do it.

I live in Roseville, and will travel as far as Rochester or St. Cloud if I need to!

Anyway, let me know.

Lars, I had a simple hanging hood built, It's like the "shoebox hood" on Larrys site. The box, including the 3/4" oak (solid oak 12" by 10" by 6') and two coats of sprayed poly, cost $130. The workmanship is great, he routed groves inside the hood for screws so there are no external fastners. However I still had to wire it and install the lights. Email me if you want more info, or maybe I'll see you at Shauns on wed. Agu
