How do we become mods

Here is what I am looking for as far as mods go prior to creating a board, where this would be decided on by the board. I would want people you are level-headed and even-keeled. Like it or not, there will eventually be flame wars, I need people that do not necessarily take sides, just clean up the forums as needed.

I am trying to get a group together to talk about direction of this project.
