Fellow Nano-ites,
My office JBJ Nano is up and running, corals are growing and the 150watt DE above it causes some fierce evaporation.
Where is the best place to find a small float valve to fit in the back of the JBJ?
It's a bit tight in there with a CPR BakPak and an extra Minijet 606 plumbed through the back.
I have a decorative shelf that runs along the top portion of the wall (same side as the tank is on) that I can place a reservoir of replacement water.
TIA,
Ed

standard float switches should fit - check grainger.com for sizes - and make sure you get two, just in case one fails you have a back-up to stop the tank from overflowing.
If I may suggest - I just got a peristaltic pump for top-off, and it doses very slowly - this way you could have a top-off solution that will top-off at the same rate as your evaporation (say 1ml/minute), then turns-off if/when the level is high enough. That way, if things go wrong and a switch fails (they always do - I learned the hard way) things go wrong very slowly -

this is the one that I got, bought from another RC'er for $150, I saw another one in the Selling Forum for $175 - or you can check on e-bay for peristaltic pump. Mine will pump from .002ml/minute - 12.3 ml/minute depending on the speed of the pump, and the size of tubing you use.
