Do any of the local stores have southdown (yardright, oldcastle) caribbean sand in stock? There was a sighting in Akron, but that's a bit of a drive.

Thanks,

John

I got mine at the HD in Bowling Green, but that has been a year ago.

Thanks. I'm not in a hurry so I'll just keep an eye out for it. If anyone sees some, please post here.

Hey Subrafta, I got sugar fine aragonite at Pet Land in Piqua last week. I think it was 29.99 for a 30 pound bad.

IMO, the stuff they sell at Jack's really isn't that expensive... (Maybe it is relative to sand from HD, but when compared with what everything else costs in this hobby...)

Isn't that true!!!! I don't even want to think how much I've invested in the last year!!

Yeah, if it comes down to it I'll pick up the oolithic / figi pink from the LFS. I've got sugar fine silica for my 37g, which is fine but could be whiter and "special grade" 1-2 mm caribsea in my nano. I don't care for the chunkier stuff as much as I'd thought, so I'll probably swap it out.

Thanks,

John
