View Full Version : Condy how big can it get?

Mine is 18 inches in diameter when fully extended how much bigger can it grow? I fear the answer since it is Condylactus gigantea.

It is probably at its maximum size. They usually don't grow much bigger than 18 inches. Good job in growing a full sized Condylactis gigantea. Do you have any pictures of it?

It wasn't quite fully extended in this shot. Also many of the tentacles in the front of the picture were shortened by its encounter with the powerhead. I now have two sponges in the intake and have moved the intake to against the back glass to avoid future problems. I don't want to move the powerhead as the condy has not moved in the six months it has been in this tank.


It has now almost fully recovered and the tenacles are almost back to their original size and the pink tips are almost as bright as before.
