Was the March meeting ever set? It sounded like it was going to be the first weekend but I never heard a definite.

I think Landon is going to host it.
Maybe he'll chime in:)

i guess this is chiming. i wanted to let Timmy be able to attend. and its easier for me to have it on a weekday. Sarah and i decided on the 9th of March at 7:00 pm. thats the wednesday night before Timmy leaves. it should also be easier for Steven to attend and its easier on me also. as busy as we are at work its going to be hard for me to get any weekends off for a while.

ill post the directions shortly.

hopefully everyone will be able to make it!!

I may or may not come. If any of you are in to watching "LOST" then you know why. Its an addictive show for me!

I keep thinking about that $45 acro that Stephen has, the one that's kind of maroon and green. If anybody else is interested in it, we could use it as a coral of the month, but I realize that the majority of us are not into SPS all that much.

I'd also be up for some interesting zoanthids.

There are a few ways we could go for a coral buy., or it doesn't even have to be corals. I doubt many people need salt because of the recent buy, but it could be a dry buy or an additive like DT. Or instead of SPS we could do something like clams. Or do a big order from someplace like the fragfarmer.com and everybody could get what they want. Just throwing out some ideas for consumption.

I used DT when I had a ready supply in VA. It is amazing. I had the coolest Blue sponge that came out of nowhere. He is on a steady decline since I ran out downhere. I think the DT is a great group buy. I am not opposed to some coral/clam buys either!!

I've wanted to try DT's for a while now. It's the sole reason I haven't bought a clam yet.

Since we're on the subject of COTM's, I found some interesting ones online that some people may be interested in. Keep in mind these are harvested from the wild and very well may not keep their colors (except the zoanthids) Also, the price includes shipping, provided that the order is over $100.00 If you split these corals up 10 ways the prices are pretty reasonable :)

I ordered from Reefermadness once. The two main pieces came in completely bleached but healthy. I ordered a frag to push myself over 120.00 to get a bonus frag. I said to the guy, I trust you, just give me something unusual. Maybe brown polyp purple body montipora digitata is rare in California. Shipping from Dr. Mac is basically around $55.00. He runs these wierd deals all the time that can make things as cheap as reefermadness and I've seen his stuff in person.

Really? The vibe that I've been getting from people is that Reefermadness is really reliable.

I was going to check our Dr. Mac's site, but I didn't feel like looking around that much, it would be so much nicer if he would just post pics instead of links to his corals.

I would expect the aquamarine one to definately color shift. I have the same piece that I told you guys about(blue/turq.acro) that I did not bring because it turned emerald green within 2 months.Dave got the only 1 I brought in his tank. Still a awesome colony but nowhere near the color as when I bought it.IMO.

Yeah, it's still an awesome piece though, I wouldn't even mind having a emerald green version of it :)

Its definately a nice green, but green none the less. My kimbesis and tort frags are starting to color up nicely.

i like these at Dr Mac's
http://www.drmaccorals.com/sys-tmpl/solomonislandzooanthids/view.nhtml?profile=solomonislandzooanthids&UID=10169

he has some nice looking acro also so i might get a small frag of one of those if we do a true COTM.
