I got to test a new product today! The "Hydor BIO FlO" powerhead adapter. A basic mechanical (all plastic) attachment that easily attaches to most powerheads. I tested the medium version on a Maxi-Jet 1200 and can say wow! For it's money this thing creates awesome random flow in the aquarium. The attachment slowly rotates and diverts water in a huge sweeping corckscrew pattern. This creates a wide and varried flow pattern. NOTE "It wont increase your powerheads flow" it will only modify the initial output so one powerhead can cover a much larger area of your tank. Anyone wanting to see the demo model it's in the 2nd rock tank at the shop.

As soon as I mentioned the new product to the lfs today he knew exactly what I was talking about. Of course they are on back order, but my name is first on the list.

Thanks!!! I work for equipment and frags. So I figure I already worked a couple of hrs today, a few more tomorrow and it's mine.
Working at the lfs is a hoot. Today a girl came in and pointed to a yellow tang that she wanted. The first thing out of my mouth was 'what size tank do you have?' Well, damn she has a 180.

We got in both medium and Large models today and guess what? Im not happy at all! Seems the only difference in a large med or small is the size of a stupid rotating sponge attachment that I just pull off anyway! Good news is the small ones are cheaper but the bad news is the flow radius is the same in all sizes this is a great idea if the designers realize the sponge is not important and the nozzle size is what counts. Don’t get me wrong I still like the product but extra bucks for an attachment we are not going to use?

Yeh, that don't make sense. I guess you'll sell alot of the small ones.

what size are these, any dimensions? I'd like to put one in my 24 cube, but I don't want it taking up much more room than the stock nozzle in it....

sorry for intruding in your thread :D

No intrusion. If FireFish2020 doesn't respond. I'll stop by the shop and measure one today.

I think it would be fine for a 24 nano, just leave the sponge off and get the small one.

I just bought one this weekend. Its great but sprays a little too much up and down. I'm gonna make a few small cuts in the front to give a little more straight flow.
