eggs turn dark

My maroon spawned 2 days ago. The eggs were bright orange. Today the eggs turn dark, like dark brown. Wondering if this normal or not?

So far so good. No worries yet. Eggs will change colors as the fry inside start to develop. If the eggs go bad two things will happen. They will turn whitish/grey, and cloudy and/or get fungus growing on them. Are the parent still w/ the eggs or are the eggs in a grow out tank?

The parent are still with the eggs. I do have Joyce Wilkersons' book.

I am just suprise that the eggs change color from bright orange to dark brown in a day or two. My tomato clowns eggs stayed about the same color all the way until they hatched.
