Has anyone played around with the Canisters
used in RO/DI units? I want to make a DYI polyfilter disk unit between the RO and DI and wondered if any of you had thoughts or experience?

Thanks;

Doug-I have thought of this same thing, but I was looking at using an old Eheim canister. I buy the large polyfilter mats and use my canister as a template I cut out enough to use up the mat and still have a lot of room left in the canister which could be filled
with Phoszorb, carbon or even clean aragonite. To totally fill even a small canister with Polyfilter this way would be really expensive, but you would probably only have to do it once every ten years, especially if you were running the polyfilter in series after an RO/DI unit...kas

KAS;
I just picked up the poly-filter disk pack. @ $19 to give this a try.
I also picked up a Kent refillable cartridge for the canister. It was $11, and I priced a clear canister at $18.
When I placed the poly-filter in the cartridge, there were some spaces along the sides of the canister. Oh well. I need to
figure out a clear spacer or something.
If I work through the issues, i'll let you know.

Thanks;
