I'm hoping some of you experienced Anemone/False percula keepers can tell me which anemone you had success in hosting False Percula. I've tried researching on the net, and there is more contradictory information than I ever thought possible. Some said carpets were good (my carpet killed my false percs-had to get rid of the carpet). Some said bubble tip, others listed bubble tips as hosts to loads of other clowns but didn't list the A. ocellaris. Some said Sebae, and if that's true, would that be all types of Sebae? How about the rose anemone? Anyone have success with pairing a rose with A. Ocellaris?? I know that an anemone is not required for clowns, however I would like for the false percs (A. Ocellaris) to be in a more natural environment.

I only know of one person locally that had an A. ocellaris take to a BTA. I wasn't so lucky myself. I've got lots of e. quadricolor anemones and had to trade my ocellaris for a A. frenatus.
But the book I have lists Heteractis magnifica, Stichodactyla gigantea, and Stichodactyla mertensii as the natural host anemones for A. ocellaris. Not much help but that's all I have on it.

My false perculas are hosted by a Long Tentacle anemone. Here (http://www.keil.ukans.edu/ebooks/ch2.html#ocell) is a page that discusses their hosts. Here (http://www.wetwebmedia.com/clownfis.htm) is another, and yet another. (http://www.wodonga.tafe.edu.au/private/kgw/af/) HTH

Would they go into a carpet Anemone?
