Here it is...
my 50 gallon had a strip light with a 32 watt (10,000k) t-8 bulb and was finally starting to grow some purple all over the tank....(not too fast though).
someone suggested tech A and B so i decided to add 2 more strip lights with 3 T-12,s(1 actinic and 2 65Ks) instead of 1 32 watt bulb....and i've been adding tech A and B 2 to 3 times a week and my purple has ceased to grow...
I figured with supplements and over 80 more watts of light i would have to scrape purple like crazy...but im not.
i was doing better with just one 32 watt bulb.....
Is there a technique or procedure to grow purple.....
any help is appreciated......

Without a measurement of the calcium and alkalinity in your tank, it isn't possible to know whether more of the Tech A and B is good or bad.

The change you saw may be lighting related. Different species of coralline need different amounts of light, with more not always being better. Perhaps you now have more light than optimal for the species that you have.

Other things also stop coralline growth. High organics and phosphates likely fall into that catefgory.
