Tank raised percula clowns.

I bought these little babys today at my LFS here in putnam CT. The owner ( a man I have known for quit some time ) said he got them from the university of maine ( 6 clowns and more on the way ) I am just wondering if you all have seen these on the market lately or if any of you know if they are truely from the university?

If Im correct these might be onyx clowns.

Ok just in from the anemone forum. They are ocellaris clowns not percs. They also dont think they are black onyx either. Well they are gorgeous either way.

they probably are from umaine. they have a fish room that has been set up for at least a year now in orono, me. they do look like ocellaris though, and may be from the same broodstock.......too similar a gene pool......hence the misbars.

Potential Road Trip?!?!??!?!! Anybody from PCR have any contacts we can get in touch with for a TOUR of their facility?!?!?!??!?!? I have also heard they have some type of coral farm/research (softies I believe) goiong on?!????

i may be able to get us in there. i'll have to contact one of my former professors to get more info........ une also has a breeding system up and running with which i worked on a bit before graduating. they dont have any eggs or babies yet though so i dont think it would be too exciting.

Unfortunately Chad said they are way too busy for lectures and or tours... he said maybe this summer...:(
